If you're looking for a night of hip glam culture, if you like to see hot new talent on the rise, and want to get it first; if you have a passion for jewellery and you want to know more about our alchemical processes, and if you know what's good for you, you are virtually in the right place; follow these instructions to get to our real life fun and games..this invitation is for you!
Coutts London Jewellery Week launches on Monday 8 June, and the highlight of the week will be found here in South London on Thursday night (that's 11 June) when the Flux On programme launches with a boom and a bang at The New Model Gallery.
Twelve jewellers from Flux Studios showcase their inspiring collections of contemporary jewellery at this exciting, live exhibition event.
The collections will be worn by unconventional models, reflecting the diversity of South London.
Mingling with the audience, the models will distribute info-cards about the jewellery, between choreographed, short poses on podiums.
The Flux Jewellers will also be on hand to talk about their work.
Info cards and other publicity materials will be readily available, inviting the audience to enquire about, view or purchase the jewellery at other events throughout the Flux On programme.
Orders, commissions and other expressions of interest can be taken at the information desk on the night.
Our programme rolls on through Camberwell Arts Week which begins on 20 June 2009, when SE5 will show itself to be the creative centre of the universe. Expect to be thrilled by the students of Camberwell College of Arts, check out the South London Gallery for its programme internationally renowned exhibitions, follow the Open Studios Arts Trail to discover the talent of South London; Most importantly, come on down to Flux Studios for our Flux On exhibition and sale of hot (and cool) new jewellery!
